Privacy Policy

What we collect
Account info you give us (email, display name, date of birth, gender, interests, avatar). Technical info (IP address, device, browser, language). Usage info (matches started, reports filed, plan). Payment info is handled by our payment provider — we never see your full card number.
What we do NOT collect
Video and audio of your calls are streamed peer-to-peer over WebRTC. We do not record, store, or monitor the contents of your calls. Text chat may be retained briefly for safety review and is deleted on a rolling basis.
Why we collect it
To run matches and the app, to keep the platform safe (age checks, abuse detection, ban enforcement), to process payments, to comply with law, and to improve the product.
Who we share it with
Service providers we rely on to run ChatLoop: Lovable Cloud (hosting & database), Google (OAuth sign-in), and our payment processor when you subscribe. We share only what each provider needs and we never sell your personal data.
How long we keep it
Account data: while your account exists. Safety logs and consent records: up to 24 months for legal defensibility. Backups: up to 30 days. You can request deletion at any time.
Your rights
You can access, correct, or delete your data, and withdraw consent. Use Settings → Delete account, or email privacy@talkloop.app. EU/UK/CA users have GDPR/PIPEDA rights including the right to lodge a complaint with your local authority.
Children
ChatLoop is strictly 18+. We block known under-18 sign-ups and remove any account discovered to belong to a minor. If you believe a minor is using ChatLoop, email safety@talkloop.app.
Cookies & local storage
We use first-party storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Passwords are hashed by our auth provider. No system is perfect — please use a strong password and keep your device secure.
